Software has to survive the person who built it

6 min

A tool that only the builder understands is a temporary fix. The next person has to reverse-engineer it, or they stop using it.

We write software so the operation can keep it: named flows, boring structure, and a place for exceptions.

That is slower at the start. It is cheaper than rebuilding the same thing every eighteen months.

Survival is the test. Not how it looked in the first demo.

If this is the kind of work you need in the operation, start a conversation.
